05.7.2012 - Olympus Media, LLC Named 2012 OBIE Awards Winner
[Atlanta]~ May 7, 2012 – Olympus Media LLC has been named a Gold & Silver winner by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) for the 2012 OBIE Awards, one of the most esteemed prizes in advertising. The OBIE Awards recognize creative excellence in out of home advertising and are the oldest awards program in the advertising industry.
Olympus Media received one of only 12 Gold awards given with 44 agencies competing and hundreds of executions judged by an all-star lineup of industry talent. Olympus was recognized for work in both the Public Service Broadcast and Special Effects category.
“When we were first told we had been nominated in two categories we were overjoyed. Not only was it an absolute honor to win two OBIE's, but to be recognized for the 9-11 Reflect campaign felt even more meaningful,” said Shannon Bromley, Creative Director at Olympus Media LLC. “It was important for us to properly honor the victims and heroes on the 10 year anniversary of the attacks. To be involved in a project that was as moving, heartfelt and collaborative as this, and then to have it recognized by such a talented group of professionals was beyond words.”
“Out of home may be one of the oldest advertising media, but this year’s winners demonstrate its continuing relevance in today’s marketplace,” said Stephen Freitas, OAAA chief marketing officer. “This campaign represents the many ways out of home can connect with consumers on the go each and every day.”
